Praise God. This song was born out of a deep reflection on Urim and Thummim - those mysterious objects placed on the High Priest’s breastplate in the Old Testament. Whenever Israel needed direction, light, or clarity, they inquired of the Lord through them. It was sacred. It was holy. It was limited.
But as I sat with Hebrews 10, Colossians 2:10, and the words of Jesus in John’s Gospel, something beautiful began to unfold.
Urim means Light. Thummim speaks of Completeness.
And I realized, what they once sought through stones, we now have in a Person.
Jesus is our Urim. Jesus is our Thummim.
He is the Light of the world. In Him we are made complete. Through His blood, the veil was torn. Through His Spirit, we are no longer distant.
This song flowed from that revelation. From separation to access. From ritual to relationship.
The line “Tu mera Urim, Yeshu tu mera Thummim” is not poetic imagination but it is worship rooted in Scripture. It is a declaration that in Christ, every mission finds completion, every distance is removed, and every heart finds its eternal home.
My prayer is that as you listen, this would not just be a song but a reminder:
You are no longer standing outside the veil. You are invited in. You are complete in Him.
May this song draw you closer to the One who is our Light, our Fulfillment, and our eternal High Priest.

Parde ke peeche, mahima thi teri
Juda the tujhse, paap ne laayi deri
Ek hi jaa paata tha, saal dar saal
Paap ke kaaran, jaanwar hote the ghaat (2)
Par tere kroos ke waseele, khula band dwaar
Lahoo ke bahne se, mita parde ka adhikaar
Ab na hai doori, na hai koi dar
Yeshu tere kaaran, mila anant ghar
Tu mera Urim, Yeshu tu mera Thummim
Hua tujh mein poora, meri har ek muheem
Keech se nikaala, banaya hamein kaabil
Aatma se bharkar, kiya tujh mein shaamil (2)
Na patthar na parchhaai, ban saka sahaara
Tere vachanon ne hi, jeevan srija hamaara
Hiyav baandhkar aate, hum tere paas
Aatma ke chalaaye chalein, tu hamaari aas (2)
Tu mera Urim, Yeshu tu mera Thummim
Hua tujh mein poora, meri har ek muheem
Keech se nikaala, banaya hamein kaabil
Aatma se bharkar, kiya tujh mein shaamil (2)
Roshni hai tu, Zameeyat bhi tu
Yeshu haan, bas tu hi tu (2)
Maarg hai tu, satya bhi tu
Yeshu haan, bas tu hi tu (2)
Tu mera Urim, Yeshu tu mera Thummim
Hua tujh mein poora, meri har ek muheem
Keech se nikaala, banaya hamein kaabil
Aatma se bharkar, kiya tujh mein shaamil (2)
